Nice is Nice Original Painting

"Nice is nice" is a poignant reminder of resilience and hope. Created during the summer of 2024, when my husband underwent quadruple bypass surgery, this piece reflects the profound emotional turmoil and financial challenges we faced.

Our lives were irrevocably changed by this experience. The carefree summer plans we had envisioned were replaced by the stark realities of cardiac therapy and mounting medical bills. Yet, amidst the darkness, I found solace in capturing the vibrant Promenade des Anglais in Nice.

The miniature sunbathers, symbols of relaxation, play, and enjoyment, served as a stark contrast to our own struggles. Adding new bathers was a therapeutic way to offset the intense emotional suffering we endured. The resulting artwork is a testament to our determination to find joy, even in the face of adversity. It's a glorious representation of a bucket list destination, imbued with personal significance and a reminder of our enduring love and resilience.
